It’s a little hard to believe that they can sustainably plant all these trees just from your searches alone. (Also, I hate to be that person, but I’m a little skeptical if they’re putting their money where their mouth is. Like I said, it’s not a terrible browser, and I love the idea of it, I just feel like the execution could be better. If it’s something you feel strongly about, and you want to stick with it, go for it. Could be an issue on my part, but if the whole pull of the thing is to be more eco-friendly and to plant trees, then it’s a little disappointing when it doesn’t seem to be happening. When you looked up something, a lot of the times the images didn’t correlate, or there was a very minimal selection, which was disappointing.Īlso, I used it for almost a week, and the marker that said how many trees you planted never changed for me, it always just stayed at zero. The thing I really disliked the most though was their image selection. It felt a little clunky to use, and I found that things didn’t load super well on it. Overall it’s really not a terrible browser, but it’s not very good either. Hi, thanks for highlighting were we can improve Ecosia and for leaving a comment. I just hope there promise is being held up by the company, But either way as long as the intention is there I’ll keep using this app for my own sake. It looks aesthetically pleasing and I’m definitely more satisfied with it now. I cook a lot so being able to search up “pancakes” and getting a easy quick photo of what they look like and recipes with a review count makes it so much easier for me. For me that’s a huge deal because I’ve gotten so used to googles “quick search” engine. When you search up anything now it has a beautiful photo to text ratio. But after uninstalling it and coming back to it now it’s so much smoother and feels like it has its own personality instead of using another search engines as it’s face. It used to have this bing-fire fox feel to it and it confused the ever living love out of me.
